I love videogames especially old school games. I've played almost every classic and I love making parody's of it in sprite animations. If you do not like Sprite animations please go watch actual drawings on another place or at least give it a chance.

The collaboration was made with love for the Nintendo Wii. Or as cool people call it, the Nintendo Revolution.

The gallery is designed to recreate that unforgettable Wii menu aesthetic, and it contains art from dozens of different artists!

Special thanks to those who helped design the engine!

In other news, the N64 Collab Redux will soon be back in production. Due to personal issues the collab had to be delayed, but with the completion of the Wii Collab I'll be able to recycle the gallery to make the N64 Collab go much more smoothly. I also intend to reopen submissions in the near future so that it isn't a complete retread of Alex's collab.

So keep an eye out as more news will come for that soon.

Once again, thank you to everyone who contributed to and/or supported the Wii Collab. Those who got hit with a 404 from viewing the game at the very second the game got published, consider yourself a witness of history. Thank you to those who contributed to, supported, and/or are continuing to support the N64 Collab. And as previously stated, everybody else can get N or get out™

UPDATE 5/31/24: Submissions are now closed. The collab will release some time in June.

Alright so in light of the recent events, I've offered to remake the N64 Collab. I intend to use Game Maker Studio 2 to whip together a proper gallery with music and links to the artists' pages.

But I don't want to assume that everyone who uploaded their piece to the N64 Collab wants to be in the remake. The original will stay up for those who chose not to join the redux collab. I'd DM everyone individually but when there's 120-something submissions that's simply not a reasonable ask, so if you want your art included in the Redux Collab, please follow the instructions on the form below:

(SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED)

The cutoff date is May 31st, 2024. The actual release date will be sometime in June. Out of respect for the original collab, I will only be accepting submissions that were from the original. Updated versions of your submission will be accepted, but entirely new pieces will not. Nothing that was accepted in the original collab will be declined.

Please understand; I'm remaking the collab to address the complaints that have been listed by many upset reviewers. However, I'm concerned with people who'll think that they're "helping" by comparing the original game to mine. But don't let that stop you from creating art. If you have a piece that didn't make it, tag the piece as #n64-collab and I'll still give it a shout out in-game.

EDIT 3/24/24: Today marks the 14 year anniversary of my NG account. Perfect timing too because another one of the collabs I joined has just released. Check it out!

TL;DR: Shit's been rough for me recently. It's not gonna get any better on its own but I certainly won't let it get worse.

Making art and seeing my friends create art is what keeps me going. It's been really tough for me to be motivated to make art "for myself" which is why I'm super grateful to those who've let me into their collabs recently. There's a few others I'm in that'll be rolling out soon as well.

I've never really been someone who makes art for their self. More often my "drawing for myself" is actually drawing for a friend in some roundabout way. But hey, what matters is that I'm still getting enjoyment out of my art.

I also managed to crank out a Game Jam Demo. In the future I plan on cleaning it up and sharing a more completed version of the game over here, as well as maybe remaking some of my other games that had annoying little optimization flaws that nobody probably even noticed but me lmao.

One day I intend to learn Godot's interface but in the meantime with the help of some good friends I'm still finding new ways I can better optimize my games that're made in GMS2.

Commissions are still open. Thank you everyone who's already helped me out. I've been able to buy groceries with that money a couple of times now.

And of course here are those crappy doodles. Sorry if some are pretty old or reposted from my instagram lmao

I never thought I'd say this but, I am opening up commissions. My bills need paying and unfortunately I can no longer accept final fantasy r34 as payment.

You can reach me here obviously, on Ko-Fi, and I'll eventually open up a Patreon.

At the moment my rates are:

Pixel Art:

  • $5 - 32x32
  • $7 - 64x64
  • $9 - 128x128

Illustrations:

  • $2 - Sketch
  • $5 - Color + blank BG
  • $10 - Color + BG
  • +$2 for every character included
  • 8.5" x 11" default size. Larger or smaller open for discussion

These rates are subject to change in case PayPal and Ko-Fi want a cut of whatever I receive. I'll try to keep them reasonable but I can't make any promises.

Before sending any inquiries to my Ko-Fi please be sure to DM me here. I'm on Newgrounds more often than Ko-Fi so I'll get to your message as soon as I can.

Commissioned work may be added to my portfolio.

And of course, view my Art tab to see examples of my previous work.

Thanks for years of liking my inane bullshit. Enjoy this inane bullshit.

This holiday season was so miserable I almost forgot my yearly Santa Clauminid drawing.

2022 was one of the worst years of my life. '23 had some nasty stinkers but overall it was a better year. I had much more time to whip up a lot more projects this year but they never reached a satisfactory level to release. Fingers crossed that '24 isn't full of bullshit.

So I have had Valve's funky little handheld gaming computer for a little over a year now. I love it. I've beaten more games on it within a year than on the gaming PC I've had since ~2015. But holy shit, troubleshooting on the Steam Deck is the worst I've ever had to experience.

If all you plan on using the Deck for is playing green checkmark "Verified 100% Works" games, you'll never have a problem. But if you want to use emulators or a non-steam game that doesn't gel with Proton, something's going to fuck up beyond your control. Over the year I've had my fair share of the console just randomly not entering sleep mode, not waking up from sleep mode, crashing while resetting between Desktop/Gaming mode, and no real understanding of what I did to cause that to happen.

If the game crashes due to an issue on the Steam-end you aren't given an error code and you're stuck googling "steam deck game crashes suddenly", where you'll undoubtedly be met with the usual machine generated revenue trap articles telling you the usual garbage that you need to restart your system, check for updates, format your drive, or order a replacement Deck. Frustratingly, not even the official forums will yield better answers.

The reason I made this little rant is because yesterday I got a 1TB microSD card, and for some reason it simply wouldn't recognize the card when I tried to replace it with my old SD. And not only that, when I had the 1TB card inserted, games on the internal storage wouldn't launch either. I eventually found people who had the exact same issue as me, and just like with every other issue, the commenters suggest restarting, checking for updates, formatting, and ordering a replacement. Ugh. Every time I see a tech support thread and someone tells the OP to factory reset or RMA I want to make a burner account just to tell that guy to fuck off.

Anyways, fortunately I didn't do anything with my old SD card and everything works fine again with that one still inserted. I'm sure I'll be slapping my forehead when I discover the real solution, but until then it feels like I'm wading through a bayou of bots and redditors who are just trying to trick tech-illiterate people into screwing themselves even further.

I still love this device but what the fuck is up with this troubleshooting scene.

LATE UPDATE: I fixed it last Thursday, just in time for the family Thanksgiving dinner. It turned out the issue was that I'd moved the Compatdata folder to the old MicroSD and forgot about it. For some reason when you uninstall a game, it doesn't delete any files that it added to the Compatdata and Shadercache folder so you need to either nuke those folders every couple hundred installs or move them to the SD so your deck won't shit itself from low disk space.

Unfortunately reassigning the Compatdata folder to the new SD wasn't enough either. I had to make an "in case of emergency" Compatdata folder in the internal drive, nuke the Compatdata folder that was in the new SD that must've contained some flags that tripped up Steam, and only then could I reassign everything to the new SD. If you look up the definition of "Cumbersome" you'll get some Truman Show candid video of me having done all this crap.

And also my Surface Pro is running out of hard drive space so I'll likely need to shell out cash for another 1TB for this sucker (assuming Microshit hasn't been installing bloatware that I'll have to remove again)

Also here's a bonus WIP for a fan animation. It'll be done when it's done.
